A Martial Art For Women
We teach a simple and well structured system of personal defence that will develop your effectiveness under pressure, increase your self-confidence and help you walk the streets with peace of mind.
Aikido For Women
Yoshinkan Aikido is based purely in non-competitive, defensive techniques, so you don’t need to be big and strong.
Women cannot rely on their strength alone, and so are better able to learn the technique…
You will learn how to use the attacker’s energy to
control them while remaining safe. When our instructors demonstrate techniques, you will understand that you can pin someone AND reach for your mobile to call the police.
As a result of the effectiveness of this style, it is taught to all Tokyo women police officers.
At our school, we have a number of women instructors as well as male instructors who provide a supportive environment to guide you through your martial arts journey in Aikido.
Benefits of Aikido
Aikido provides a great many benefits both physically and mentally. Among other things, it improves:
- Fitness
- Confidence
- Flexibility
- Strength
- Coordination
- Focus
- Self Discipline
Remember! Confident and strong minded people are unlikely victims.
