Elio Sanciolo Sensei

4th Dan Yoshinkan Aikido

Elio Sanciolo Sensei began his aikido training in January 1994 at the Aikido Shudokan, in Melbourne. In 1995, he tested and achieved his first dan and in 1999; he tested for his second dan by Terada Kiyoyuki Hanshi. In 2003, he tested and was awarded his third dan by Inoue Kyoichi Hanshi and more recently in 2008; he tested and was promoted to the level of fourth dan by Shioda Yasuhisa Kancho (current head of Yoshinkan Aikido).

During his 15 years of training, he has made aikido accessible to the younger generation through a curriculum teaching program at Xavier College, combining both traditional Aikido and self defence, where he also teaches Graphic Design and Art.

He was also responsible for the running of a dojo at Moonee Ponds for approximately three years and is the founder of the company known as “Ki Concepts”.

The company, which began in 2005, delivers corporate training and educational leadership programs to large and small businesses. The training is combined with key principles of Aikido and has been very successful in optimising the performance and efficiency of team leaders and managers in the workplace.
