The 15th Annual Demonstration was held on Sunday 7th October, 2001 and was the largest event
on the Shudokan calendar for 2001, with participants from
the Thornbury, Oakleigh, Caulfield, Westgate and Moonee Ponds
dojo's. Sensei Joe Thambu epitomised the spirit of the demonstration
with an awe-inspiring demonstration of strong, effective aikido,
which is both amazingly powerful yet graceful. A wonderful
memento, this video captures the feeling of a day unlike another,
demonstrating that the principles that Soke Gozo Shioda expounded
are alive and well in modern-day aikido.
